SUBSIDY GRANTED
TENNIS COURTS • j DECISION OF COUNCIL “The Netherton Sports and Recreation Club has applied for a subsidy on constructional work carried out on the tennis courts. The council’s policy on this matter is that application should be made in the first place, for authority to do the work, if the council is to be asked for a feusidy l ,” reported the county clerk, Mr L. E. Smith, to the December meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. “Applications are to be submitted by December 31 in each year, for work proposed to be carried out during the following year, but in this particular case the club states it was not aware of the procedure to be followed'. The amount expended, £54/9/5, is, if the council waives the required procedure, subject to a subsidy of £26/9/I'o. All vouchers are now in order, and I recommend that payment be authorised,”/ stated the report. The clerk’s recommendation was adopted.
