PRIZE GIVING
SUNDAY SCHOOL FUNCTION GATHERING AT WHITIANGA A number of parents and friends attended the anniversary and prizegoving of the Whitianga Undenominational Sunday School recently. The service was conducted by Miss E. C. Lee, assisted by Mrs 0. Lee and the Bible class boys. The children’s choir rendered special items and recitations were given by Peter George, Gary Wilkins and Lyall Martin. Th&. twenty-third psalm was recited by a group of children. Eveiy child received a prize. First class prizes for attendance and diligence at Sunday school were presented to Margaret Oxley, Rosemary Oxley, Janet Whitten, Gloria O’Brien, Neil Martin, Lyal Martin, Leslie Martin and to Margaret Oxley, Kerry Lee, Pine Tawhara, Neil Martin, Graeme White for Bible class. The Sunday school tea and Bible class social was held in the hall when a film “The Triumph of Faith” was shown by Mr Kermode, of the Mobile Sunday School.
