WAITAIA BAY ROAD

GIFT OF A STEEL PIPE WORK TO BE PROCEEDED WITH The offer of a steel pipe, 12 x 4, for use on the Waitaia bay road was accepted by the Coromandel County Council on Wednesday last at its meeting.

Mr Hilford, who made the offer, stated that the council could have the pipe if it transported it to the site. The foreman, Mr J. T. Hinchco, stated the pipe would take the place of a bridge which was badly needed.

Instructions were issued for the job to be proceeded with and a letter of thanks to be sent to Mr Hilford.
