RAILWAY DEFEATS WEST CRICKET IN PAEROA HIGHEST SCORE TO WIGMORE
By a margin of only one run the Railway cricket team on Sunday last on the Paeroa domain defeated the West team, which scored 157 runs to Railway’s 158. Top score of the day went to M. Wigmore, of the West team, who was run out for 46. T. Williams (West) accounted for 44 of his side’s total. R. Howard secured the highest score for Railway with 42 before he was caught by O’Meara off F. Treanor. Details of play were:— West: M. Wigmore, run out, 46; I. Kurtovich, b L. Brooks, 7; P.
