ANGLICANS MEET

GATHERING AT TURUA NEW FONT DEDICATED . KEREPEHICELEBRATION The clergy of the Archdeaconry of Manukau met at Turua recently. The Archdeacon, Venerable A. E. Prefrble, and the vicars of Papakura, Clevedon, Waiuku, Pukekohe, Howick and Thames were entertained by the vicar of the Hauraki Plains, Rev. A. B. Burton.

In the evening the party attended the silver jubilee celebrations of St. Peter’s Church, Kerepehi. Mr Burton conducted the service, assisted by Rev. M. Holmes, of Papakura, and Rev. Mr Heath, of Howick. The hew font was. blessed and dedicated. Supper and a social at the Kerepehi hall followed.

Mr Burton and the people’s warden, Mr A. H. Sutton, thanked the visitors for coming.

/ Two old identities of the church were present, Mrs Kidd, who now resides at Thames, and Mrs Thompson of Kerepehi.
