STILL A GOOD OVERFLOW

NO BREAKS DURING MONTH

“During the month no breaks occurred on any of the concrete

mains. The pressure tank is still being used and there is still a good overflow from the outlet pipe from the tank,” reported the 'east 'water supply supervisor, Mr J. H. Bradford, to the October meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council.

“A threequarter inch service connection has been installed to three new factory houses in Kerepehi. The threequarter inch lead was taken off a one inch submain which is laid through Kerepehi township,” continued the report. “A one inch water meter has been installed at the Kerepehi factory and a new one inch service lead was taken off the two inch main across the metal road.

“The three inch water meter that measures up the Thames county drawoff from the 10 inch main at Puriri has been taken out and will be sent away for testing and cleaning.

“A half inch service lead to Mr Chicks charemilkers house, Pekapeka road has been repaired. This lead had to be renewed under the sealed road. . “A start on inspection over farm properties is being carried out over the supply,” concluded the report. NO BREAKS ONE SERVICE SHUTT OFF “There have been no breaks in the trains this month on the west water supply,” reported the west water supply supervisor, Pentecost, to the October meeting Plains County Council. ‘fTwo-service connections have been repaired. A hew connection has been installed — N. Burlje, River road,” added the report. “I have carried out inspection along Phillips, River, Raweßawe, Pipiroa, Orchard west and Canal roads. One service has ‘been shut off, and where leaks were found,, .notices given.”
