All. the 24 institutes . within the Thames-Hauraki Plains District Federation of Women’s Institutes were represented at the 'biannual meeting of the federation held in Thames on Tuesday, October 17, when the president, Mrs N. L. Lithgow, presided. A very warm welcome was extended to all present by the president with special reference to Mrs G. Pinnock (Dominion executive), Mrs S. Ensor (mayoress of Thames), Mrs C. Marceau (treasurer) and Mirs F. Symes (secretary). A new institute to join
