COLVILLE DANCE

TENNIS CLUB AFFAIR

RETURN OF OLD MEASURES

The Colville Tennis Club sponsored a dance in the Colville hall on Saturday night last, when a bus load of 18 members of the Coromandel Old Time Dance Club was present.

A very enjoyable evening was spent renewing acquaintance again with the square dances, the lancers and d’alberts being entered into with vim. The Prince of Wales schottische was also popular. Among the other dances were the three-some reel and tango glide, both oldtimers which are coming into their own again. A very enjoyable supper was served by the committee.

Mr R. Robinson, on behalf of the tennis club, thanked the Coromandel visitors for Jheir attendance and hoped they would return in the near future. Mr O’Donnell, chairman of the Old Time Dance Club, reciprocated the remarks made by the previous speaker and said the club would surely be active again in the near future. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs E. M. Lucas and Mrs A. EVans played an extra.
