TWO VISITING TEAMS

COROMANDEL BASKETBALL

MATCHES LAST SATURDAY

A busy time was spent on the school courts at Coromandel last Saturday when visiting teams of basketball players engaged the two local teams in strenuous games.

Ralex A team beat Coromandel A, 12 to 6, referee, Mr D. Longley. Ralex B team was defeated by Coromandel B 16 to 5, referee, Mr Cusack.

After various scratch games, a very enjoyable afternoon tea was served by the local committee and players. In the evening a dance was held in the R.S.A. hall when the Browne sisters were the sponsors and they supplied excellent music for the dancing. There was a very good attendance alter the pictures came out and supper was served, after which dancing continued until midnight.
