ANNUAL MEETING HELD
RECORD ATTENDANCE
OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR
There was a record attendance at the annual meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Football Union held last night in the Civic hall, Paeroa, when until the arrival of the president, Mr Edwin Edwards, who was engaged at another public meeting, Mr C. W. Williams presided as chairman. Two nominations were received for the position of president, those of Mr C. W. Williams and Mr Edwin Edwards and as a result a ballot was taken and Mr Edwards re-elected as president. More interest than usual was taken in the meeting and ballots had to be taken for the election of the management committee and the election of the vice-presidents as well as for the office of secretary in respect of which two nominations were received, one of Mr E. A. Rogers, the other Mr E. J. McKenzie. The latter was elected and Mr Rogers was appointed to fill the position of treasurer. Mr J. A. Reddy did not seek re-election as'treasurer. Gregson, C. O’Brien, E. P. Fathers, D. Vincent, C. N. O’Loughlin, R. H. Harris and J. A. Reddy; management committee, Messrs W. F. F. Faber, W. Fleming, H. R- Reward, L. Johnson, A. Jones, 0. W. Knight, E. Meyer and T. Richardson; secretary, Mr E. J. McKenzie; treasurer, Mr E. A. Rogers; honorary auditor, Mr R. S. Nicol.
