CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR The annual meeting of the Neatea Tennis Club was held in the hall recently when there was a fair attendance. 'Officers elected for the new year were:— Patron, Mr T. A. McClean; president, Mr E. Hazeldine-Barber; secretary, Mr J. Hall; vice-presidents, Mr W. E. Murphy and Mrs F. Speedy; committee, Messrs R. Ridings, A. Price, G. Douglas, Mesdames P. Benner, H. McCollum, Miss M. /Thomas; captain, Mr R. Ridings; vicecaptain, Mrs P. Benner. The secretary reported that the financial position* of the club needed building up. A working bee was arranged for the week-end with the desire to have the courts in playing order so that the opening could be held early in October. It was decided that subscriptions be the same as last year. ' The meeting resolved to enter two teams, A and B, in the Hauraki Plains competitions.
