PAINFUL ACCIDENT

INDEX FINGER CUT OFF ACCIDENT IN PAEROA A painful accident was suffered byMr Frank Kinred, of Paeroa, on Wednesday morning last when, in operating a spindle moulder at the sash and door factory of Mr Chas. Gleadow in Miller avenue, Paeroa, his hand slipped off the board he was feeding into the moulder and came in contact with the moulder knives, the result being the loss of the whole of the index finger of the right hand. Mr Kinred was promptly attended to by Dr. J. W. Baitrum and admitted to the Thames hospital where he is reported to be making satisfactory progress.
