FANCY DRESS BALL

NGATEA PRIMARY SCHOOL FULL CAPACITY HOUSE AN ENTHUSIASTIC AUDIENCE Recently the Ngatea hall was crowded to capacity when the Ngatea primary school held its annual fancy dress ball. Mr A. Flay was responsible for the floor organisation which was very well conducted. Folk dances by the various classes were well received by the enthusiastic audience. After all the children had 1 been treated, to a dainty supper Mr Flay, on behalf of the headmaster, Mr Crocker, who was unable to be present at the function, thanked all the parents for their co-operation and for the lovely display of fancy dresses which the parents had prepared for their children. Mr Collinge also said a few words of thanks, remarking on the inadequacy of the hall for such a function and he hoped to have their support in trying to obtain something better for future functions. The ladies’ committee, which was responsible for the supper arrangements comprised:— Mesdames Blake, Waite, Jackson, Hayward, Leonard, # Cocks, Thomas, Williams and Dalgety. A dainty supper brought a very happy evening to a close. Fancy dress costumes were as follows :— .
