CAMBER OF ROAD
PETROL PUMP TROUBLE COMPLAINT MADE IN PAEROA Because of the camber of Normanby, road opposite his service station great difficulty was experienced in filling certain types of petrol tanks, wrote Messrs W.. G. Coldwell Ltd., to the September meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. > * The letter went on to say that because of the camber of the road airlocks developed during the progress of delivering petrol into certain tanks and therefore it was desired that the formation of the. road be raised. The mayor, MJr Edwin explained that the matter had been considered by the works committee, which had referred the matter to Cr H. P. Wylde.
The position had been carefully considered and it had been* found, said Or Wylde that the trouble could be rectified at a cost of 4w>, which Mr Coldweil bad* agreed to pay. Subject to the Highway BomclV approval and to the payment of the cost the council resolved <to the carrying ; out if the nbeemt^'*'' work.
