THREE' MEN BEFORE COURT

On charges brought by the Conservator of Forests before the magistrate, Mir W. H. Freeman, S.M., at Thames, three men were convicted and order to pay costs. All pleaded guilty. They were: W. J. Hart, R. L. King and H. Walker, all of Tapu, who were charged with cutting down pukatea trees on the Tapu-Mercury Bay road. '
