CLAIM SUCCEEDS

JUDGMENT FOR £lOO

SALE OF RACE HORSE

A KEREPEHI TRANSACTION

A claim for £lOO brought by Francis Vincent Flowerday against the District Public Trustee as the executor in the estate of the late Richard Walter Beasley, was granted by Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., at the July sitting of the Te Aroha Magistrate’s Court. The case revolved round a race horse named Little Duke, which Mr Beasley (deceased) bought off Mr Flowerday for £lOO cash, with an agreement to pay another £lOO out of the first win money gained by the horse. A full report of the case was published in the “Gazette” early in July.
