TWO FIJ MS SHOWN INTEREST xN-FUNCTION ’ The Mercury Bajr Girl Guides’ Association played host to about 50 people when they entertained in th'e Whitianga hall last week with a moving picture show. ■

The programme consisted of two pictures, the first depicting the activities of International Guides and dealing mainly with Girl Guides from America, Canada and Brazil. The second half of the programme dealt with the activities' of in England during the Second World War. It showed Rangers working on various war jobs, and how they eventually joined the various branches df the Armed Services.

There was a good attendance, of local Brownies and Boy Scouts.
