BADMINTON AT NETHERTON NINE GAMES TO THREE A badminton match between Turua and Nether ton was played at Netherton recently when Turua proved to be the winriers by nine games to three. Detailed results, with Netherton names mentioned first, are:— Men’s doubles: L. Holst and N. Collier lost to S. Clark and G. Clark, 19—21; W. Dovell and D. Arthur lost to W. Semple and C. Robertson, 15 21; W. Kemp and D. Kemp lost
to R. Madgwick and F. Gray, 23—26. Ladies’ doubles: Mrs Gordon and Mrs Collier lost to Miss Dare and Miss Allen, 2—15; Mrs Sarjant ,and Mrs Clem ! ents defeated Mas Marshall and Mrs Madgwick, 15—3; Miss Richmond and Mrs Richmond defeated Mrs H. Mules and Mrs F. Gray, 15—8. Combined doubles: L. Holst and Miss Richmond defeated W. Semple and Mrs Marshall, 15—12; N. Collier and Mrs Sarjant lost to S. Clark and Miss Dare, 14—17; D. Arthur and Mrs Clements lost to G. Clark and Miss Allan, 1—15; D. Hovell and Mrs Richmond lost to C. Robertson and Mrs F. Gray, 10—15; D. Kemp and Mrs Gordon lost to R. Madgwick and Mrs Madgwick, 2—15; W. Kemp and Mrs Collier lost to F. Gray and Mrs Mules, B—ls. A delicious supper was served by the Netherton ladies.
