SOCIAL NOTES

Mr and Mrs W. Melton of Ngatea are leaving the district on transfer to Tirau. Mr Melton has been first assistant at the Ngatea butter factory for the past 18 months. Mrs W. Bjorngaard, of Putaruru, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr and Mrs L. E. Jackson, of Ngatea. Mr and Mrs G. Dillon, of Orakei, spent the week-end with Mrs Dillon’s brother, Mr J. Vowles, of Ngatea. Mr H. Vowles, of St. Heliers, paid a week-end visit to Mr and Mrs J. Vowles, of Ngatea.

Mr and Mrs H. E. McDonald of Onepu are guests of Mr and Mrs C. Hopping of Hikutaia.
