FARMER’S PROMPT ACTION
IMPROVEMENT CONSIDERED
“With regard to a notice received requesting me to fence both sides of the Racecoure drain, passing through my property, I am able to inform you that the Job has been completed and hope that it is to the board’s satisfaction,” wrote Mr R. Babich of Kerepehi to the May meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. “I now draw to the notice of the board the fact that the above drain Joes not carry the water from my property sau^ factoril Y; 1 would like into the clearing "B®a uCCpening of the board to make ari Investigation the outlet, from my property to Rahu road, as it has been neglected for some time,” added the letter.
It was decided to thank Mr Babich for the prompt manner in which he had attended .to the fence. Members were sympathetic towards Mr Babich’s request and it was decided that the area member, Mr G. Fisher, and the foreman meet Mr Babich on the drain to discuss question with power to act.
