TROPHIES PRESENTED
WINNERS OF COMPETITIONS
Winners of the annual flying competitions held by the club earlier in the year, were presented with their trophies by the club instructor, Mr F. W. Sawyer, at the annual general meeting of the Hauraki Aeroa Club held in Thames on Monday night. The competitions were for junior landing, open landing, forced landing, and airmanship, the trophies being donated by club members. The winners were as follow;, with donors’ names in parentheses:—•
Airmanship, trophy (Mr C. T. Foote): Mr J. E. Smith (Hikutaia), club captain. Forced landing (Mr W. J. Morrison): Mr C. Brokenshire (Thames), club vice-captain. Junior landing (Mr B. Oliver): Mr B. K. Hannam (Ngatea). ’Senior landing (Mr O. Cox): Mr B. Oliver (Thames).
