WATER SUPPLY

OHINEMURI COUNTY

PAEROA BOROUGH PAY £350

In discussing the revenue received by the Ohinemuri County Council in respect of the supply of water, the council’s treasurer, Mr A. A. Jenkinson, at the May meeting of the council stated that the receipts in the Paeroa water supply account included the £350 from the Paeroa Borough Council for the supply of water to the borough and £4l for connections and repairs to pipes. It was pleasing to note that the debit balance of the Karangahake water supply account had been reduced slightly. That was • due partly to an increase in the total water charges received caused by the inspection of the supply last year. Many additions and connections had been made without application to the council for the same. He recommended that a more serious view be taken of that in the future, as instructions were clearly stated on’ the demands. That applied not only to the Karangahake water supply but to all of the county water supplies. ■
