PRESIDENT v. VICE-PRESIDENT

On Saturday last the annual president v. vice-president match wa#* played at the Rotokohu links by members of the Paeroa Golf Club the four 'ball matches resulting in a win for ' ’ vice-president G. Gamble’s team over president H. Morgan’s team by seven . matches to four. K. Morrison showed a return to form by winning the concurrent medal with a round' of 81-11-70. There was a close result in the medal stableford played on Sunday, B. Hunt, L. J. Shaw and R. P. Ganley returning cards of 33. Hunt won on the count back. In spite of threatening weather on the King’s Birthday a good muster - ventured out for the two events and - their optimism was rewarded by a fine afternoon’s play. L. Turnbull headed the field in the 10 hole medal handicap played in the morning with

a score of 48-10-38 whilst two patrf M L. W. Frank with C. P. Finlay P. Williams with J. W. Ganley ed cards of seven up in the four’bait H best ball bogey handicap, played hOg the afternoon. The latter pair weft on the count back. jS| Two performances on the day.. meriting mention were a splendid) 711/3 gross medal returned by A. J. Deajr J'l of the Waihi club and P.
