COUNTY SUBMISSIONS WAIHI-COROGLEN MAIN ROAD The annual meeting of No. 2 B Dis-, trict Highways Council will be held on May 18, in Hamilton, according to advice received at the May meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, In a telegram to the county council the highways board representative, Mt O. G. Thornton, Hamilton, advised 1 that a reduction in funds precluded any appreciable hew declarations and that the board suggested district councils confirmed last year’s recommendations in the same. priority. Should the council design alterations then any further submissions should reach the * board’s representative without delay.’ The county clerk, Mr A. A. Jenkinson, suggested that the council should again urge that the main highway from Waihi to Coroglen be declared a State highway and if that were done the council would benefit considerably. The suggestion was adopted by the meeting.
