RUGBY ON THE DOMAIN UNITED JUNIORS WIN 8, NETHERTON 0 Weather and playing conditions were ideal fo rthe Rugby football match in the Waihi and Paeroa unions’ combined competitions on Saturday last, when on the Paeroa domain the West senior team defeated Martha (Waihi) by 14 points to nil after a display of Rugby which was below that usually exhibited by a West senior team. . Martinovich •broke away from the ruck but was hauled down. From a penalty on the twenty-five Martinovich failed to find tlje posts. West continued to hold territorial advantage but gradually Martha forwards worked play into West ground Martha being awarded a penalty on twenty-five Which T. Jones narrowly missed. . , With a fast follow-up I. Kurtovich caught full-back Jones in possession on Martha’s goal line and Martha was 'extended to prevent a score. Carmichael dropped an easy pass and a score was lost when a promising rush broke down.
