TURUA SCHOOL
T-♦ CHAIRMAN’S REPORT MEETING POORLY ATTENDED The householders meeting to elect the Turua School Committee was held recently when Mr J. Gray, chairman, commented on the poor attendance but supposed that signified a satisfied community. The chairman in his report said that great improvements had been made by the committee and there was still a certain amount of work to be done by the new committee. He said he was sorry to report that the headmaster, Mr Strong, was leaving. He would be hard to replace. The retiring secretary, Mr Lowe, who was leaving the district should be commended for the fine job of work he had done. The result of the election held to appoint the new committee has already been published.
