KITCHEN EVENING
MISS E. YELAVICH HONOURED GATHERING AT NGATEA Sponsored by the Ngatea Ladies Hockey Club, a kitchen evening was tendered to Miss Eva Yelavich and Mr Keith Hedley.
Music was supplied by the Rhythm Trio of Hikutaia and Mr J. Carr was M.C.
The evening was spent in dancing. After supper Mr J. Carr called on the young couple to come forward. In asking Eva and Keith to accept the array of presents with the best wishes of all present, he spoke of Eva’s good work and cheerfulness while working on the exchange of the Ngatea Post Office.
On behalf of Eva, Keith suitably replied thanking all present for such a happy evening and extended his grateful thanks for lovely presents.

Donaldson (Waitakaruru), S. Leach (Waitakaruru), D. Radich (Turua), S. Hall (Waitakarurii), M. Poland (Kerepehi), M. Me Watters, P.\ Waugh, A. Laurensen and P. O’Brien. A very enjoyable evening was brought to a close ,by the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
