WEDDING BELLS
HARDEN—NEALE BRIDE FROM MATATOKI A pretty wedding took place at St George’s Church, Thames, on Saturday, February,, when Margaret Aileen, only daughter of Mr and Mrs B. Neale, of Matatoki, was married to Henry Usher (Harry) Harden, elder son of Mr and Mrs H. E. Harden, of Matatoki. The Rev J. W. Smith officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of cream cloque patterned, with silver water lilies. The long waisted bodice was slim fitting and buttoned right down the back with satin buttons, and the long sleeves formed points over the hands. The neckline was cut in a heart shape. The skirt, which was full, fell in a long train at the back. Her full length embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of begonias, stocks and maidenhair fern.
The bride’s cousin, Miss Noreen Smith, of Westmere, was bridesmaid, and she wore a gown of pink all-over' lace over satin. A pink lace Juliet cap was worn, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink carnations, blue delphiniums and maidenhair fem. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Ken Crawford as best man. As the bridal couple left the church the bride was presented with a lucky horse shoe by the bridegroom's small nephew, Master Kevin Harden. There was a large number of guests at the reception, some coming from as far as Waveriey, Whangarei, Auckland and Morrinaville.
