TAKING 18-YEAR-OLDS

ASSURANCE WANTED REQUEST TO MINISTER \ A suggestion that the Minister of Agriculture be approached for an assurance that no farmer would be embarrassed by taking from him labour at that of the year when such labour was urgently needed was put forward by Mr. 0. P. Liddell at the February meeting of the Paeroa branch of Federated Farmers.

Mr. Liddell stated that the LB-year-olds should be withdrawn from the farms at times when labour could be best done without.

A resolution embodying Mr. Liddell’s suggestion was carried unanimously by the meeting.
