COMING-OF-AGE

NGATEA BIRTHDAY PARTY LES McWATTERS HONOURED To celebrate the coming-Qf-age of their second son Les, Mr and Mrs McWatters gave a party in the Ngatea hall recently. The evening commenced with a party tea, during which Miss V. McWatters proposed the usual birthday toast to Les. Mr McWatters then presented his son with a key. Les suitably replied, thanking his mother and father for giving him such a lovely party. He thanked all present for coming along and for the beautiful gifts he received. The evening was then spent in dancing and games. Among those present were:— Mesdames J- S. McWatters, McWatters, D. Challis, T. .Riorgaard (Hamilton), A. Brodien W&d R. Mules (Turua). Misses V. McWatters, M. McWatters, D. Woods (Auckland), K. Jackson and M. Douglas (Miranda). “ Auld Lang Syne ” brought a very happy evening to a finish.
