Mr P. D. Sears, now a senior pastime ecologist at New Plymouth, resigned from the Hauraki Catchment Board «t the July meeting in favour of Mr Baumgart, of the Soil Survey Office, Rotorua. His resignation, which was made on account of his long distance from the board’s office, and his inability to attend meetings, was accepted with regret by board members. Mr Hugh Dent of Ngatea has been appointed to the position of judge fey the Auckland Racing Club in place of Mr L. Aiderton, who retired recently.
