RICE GRASS
RECLAIMS FORESHORE
PLANTING SUGGESTED
Suggestions that reclamation should he commenced by the planting of rice grass (spartina townsendii) upon an area of foreshore under the control of the Coromandel Domain Board were made at the annual meeting of the board held recently in Coromandel.
It was pointed out that if the area in question was planted and reclaimed it would make a fine addition to the reserves in Coromandel and would considerably improve the approach to the town from the wharf.
