RATES ON THE PLAINS DECISION OF THE COUNCIL At a special meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council held at Ngatea on Wednesday the estimates for the 1949-50 year were considered and it was decided to strike a general rate of sjd in the pbund. The general rate includes hospital and catchment board rates. Last year the general rate was 4|d in the pound, making the increase for the current year Id.
