mangatarata meeting RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS The March meeting of the Mangatarata Women’s Division was well attended, with Mrs L. Main, the president, in the chair. Mrs Skinner undertook to send the two monthly parcels to Britain. The hostesses, Mrs Gropp and Mrs Arthur, served lunch, and competitions were won iby Miss I. Marshall and Mesdames McQuoid and B. Main. The winners in the flower competitions were as follows: Best bloom, Mrs L. Main 1, Mrs McClune 2, Miss B. Gray 3; vase of flowers, informal triangle, Mrs B. Main 1. A demonstrating on the making of log cabin biscuits was given by Miss B. Gray, and a competition for the best apron resulted in Mesdames McQuoid and Flynn being equal. The competition for next meeting will be a child’s apron, and the hostesses are to be Miss J< Taylor and Mrs B. Main.
