Balancing the Budget
That the modern youth, though more ardently sought by employers and better paid when employed, has very real problems of his own is indicated by the story behind the words of an advertiser who lodged an appeal through the Accommodation Wanted cotamns of a daily newspaper recently, stating his case succinctly and a little tersely: “Boy who thinks £3 a week is too expensive out of £4 a week pay for board would like something slightly cheaper.”
