STRIPED MARLIN
LANDED AT WHITIANGA ONE OF LARGEST IN N.Z.? A striped marlin, considered by Mercury Bay fishermen to be one of the largest ever caught in New Zealand, was landed at Mercury Bay on Sunday by Mr Ken Morrison of Takanini. Weighing 459 lb., this huge swordfish was caught from Mr and Mrs Vasey Simon’s launch “ Ngaire.”
