LABOUR PARTY
ANNUAL MEETING HELD BRANCH IN PAEROA ELECTION OF OFFICERS Eighteen members of the Paeroa branch of the New Zealand Labour Party attended the annual meeting on Monday night, despite very inclement weather. Mr H. T. Gibbons presided and the election of officers resulted:— President, Mr E. J. Byrne; vicepresident, Mr H. T. Gibbons;
secretary-treasurer, Mrs H. T. Gibbons; assistant secretary, Mr G. Amy; auditor, Mr R. H.’ Greenslade; delegates to labour Representation Committee, Mesdames H. T. Gibbons, E. Turton, S. Kurtovich and Mr A. Thompson; deputy delegates, Messrs E. Neil, J. Rackham, S. Kurtovich and H. Gallagher; committee, president, vice-president, secretary, assistant secretary, Mesdames S. Kurtovich, E. Turton, G. Bennett, Messrs E. Neil and S. Kurtovich with power to add. A vote of thanks to the press for .assistance throughout the year was proposed by Mrs Turton, seconded by Mr Byrne and carried.
