TRANSPORT OF PUPILS

BUS SERVICE FROM TURUA TO CONTINUE IN MEANTIME Correspondence regarding the transport of Turua pupils, received at the meeting of the Thames High School Board of Governors, dealt with the existing subsidised service, which was authorised to be continued in the meanwhile. The Turua School Committee also forwarded a copy of a petition to the Auckland Education Board, asking that free transport be made available to all pupils from the Turua district who wished to attend the Thames High School. The board was asked to support this petition, and, on the motion of Mr P. Jensen, seconded by Mr J. Galloway, it was decided to support the request.
