PAEROA RUGBY MEETING ANNUAL MEETING DATE TARANAKI SYSTEM DISCUSSED The first meeting in 1949 of the management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union, held on Monday night, was attended by only seven members. Those present were the chairman, Mr W. F. Faber, and Messrs H. Fraser, K. Fitz Henry, R. W. Todd, W. A. Geary and the secretary, Mr E. J. McKenzie. An apology for absence was received from Mr J. A. Reddy. The date of the annual meeting was discussed and it was decided that this be held on March 14. A draft of the annual report and balance sheet was before the meeting and was approved by those present. A lengthy discussion took place regarding the introduction of the Taranaki system to operate between Te Aroha and Paeroa, those present favouring the idea but being of the opinion chat there were not enough present to commit the committee. It was decided to ask delegates from the Te Aroha RugSy Union to attend the annual meeting of the union when the matter could be finalised.
