MATCHES ON SATURDAY POLAND CUP GAME SENIORS TO PLAY AT WAIHI The usual weekly meeting of the management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union was held on Monday night, the chairman, Mr W. F. F. Faber presiding over the following: Messrs E. Meyer, C. Chilcott, N. R. Harris, H. Fraser, R. Todd, K. FitzHenry, V. Moloney, E. C. Morgan, W. A. Geary, J. Verran, C. Ricketts, H. Grant and D. Payne (representing the Paeroa Referees’ Association), the treasurer, Mr J. A. Reddy, and secretary, Mr E. J. McKenzie. A request was received from the Auckland University juniors to play at Paeroa on August 21 and it was resolved on a motion by Messrs Harris and Fraser that they be matched against a team from the Netherton club. Games to be played on Saturday, August 14, will be as follows: — Seniors: Poland Cup, Paeroa v. Waihi at Waihi at 2.30 p.m. Juniors: Sharebrokers’ Cup, Paeroa A v. Waihi at Paeroa domain No. 1 ground at 2.30 p.m.; Paeroa B v. Karaka, Paeroa domain No. 2 ground at 2.30 p.m. Third grade: West v. High School, No. 2 ground Paeroa Domain, at 1.15 p.m.

Primary Schools: Thames Valley primary schools’ juniors, Paeroa domain No. 1 ground, at 12.15 p.m. Thames Valley primary schools’ seniors, No. 1 ground at 1.15 p.m. The following were appointed managers of the teams Seniors: Mr K. Fitz Henry; junior A team, Mr H. Fraser; junior B team, Mr R. Todd. The teams will be as under:— Junior A: Backs, R. Beale, G. Vuglar, T. Williams (captain), R. Laur-* ent, K. Handley, B. Kurtovich, P. Gregson. Forwards, E. Kemp, J. Warrender, N. Locke, R. Gallagher, D. Moyes, M. Morrison (vice-captain), R. Milne, G. Davis. Emergencies: Backs, G. Powell and P. Pennell; forwards, W. Williams and M. Wigmore. Junior B: Backs, M. Parker, C. Alley, Mangan, Jurkovich, W. Williams, Southwell, A. Pearson. Forwards, McWhirter, D. Hill, K. Wheeler, Schrieber, J. Mann, K. Bowen, Heappey, and S. Manga. Emergencies: Back, Lou Richards; forward, Trebilcock.
