“DANGEROUS STATE”
BRIDGE TO WHAREPOA HALL COMPLAINT BY INSTITUTE “ The bridge to the Wharepoa hall is in a bad state and is really dangerous,” stated a letter from the Wharepoa Women’s Institute received by the May meeting of the Thames County Council.
It was understood that three wooden bridges had been placed there in the past and all had rotted away. The institute wondered whether it would be possible to use concrete pipes instead.
The chairman, Cr. D. Courtney, said he agreed that the bridge was in bad order.
It was decided to inform the institute that the matter would receive the attention of the council.
