NO MINIMUM CHARGE
VALLEY POWER BOARD FARM MOTOR SUPPLY “ No minimum charge is made on any farm motor in the Thames Valley area,” stated Mr R. Sprague, manager of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board, when referring to a resolution moved by Mr Le Noel of the Orongo-Kopuarahi branch of Federated Farmers, which asked that the minimum charge on all motors be removed. Mr Sprague pointed out that some other power boards did have a minimum charge on farm motors but that in the Thames Valley area if a farmer used only one unit of power in a year he only paid for that one unit. The only minimum charge imposed by the Thames Valley Electric-Power Board was on the domestic supply, he stated.
