PEDESTRIAN CROSSING VISIBILITY IMPROVED A pedestrian crossing is to be installed near Mr J. Strongman’s shop, Coromandel, mainly for the use of school children but also to improve visibility on the corner by having compulsory prohibition of parking on the bend. This was agreed at the April meeting of the Coromandel County Council on a motion by the chairman, Mr E. Deeble, seconded by Cr. T. V. Whittle.

A letter had been received by the council from the Coromandel Chamber of Commerce st&ting that both the traffic inspector and the Automobile Association had recommended this move.
