COAST ROAD EROSION
WORK TO COST ABOUT £2,250 IMMEDIATE REPAIRS NEEDED A letter from the Public Works Department, Paeroa, stating that as a result of an inspection of the erosion on the coast road, 21 washouts would require various treatment, was received by the December meeting of the Coromandel County Council. The cost of the work on the stretch of road concerned was estimated at £2250. It was recommended that as " lIIHII'HII
many places were dangerous the work be carried out at once. The chairman, Mr E. Deeble, said that the council had not the staff or the facilities and he recommended that the Public Works Department be asked to do the work.
, This was seconded by Cr. T. V. Whittle and carried.
