TAKAPUNA WEDDING
YOUNG—CROWE
TRIMMING OF SEED PEARLS
St. Peter’s church, Takapuna, was recently the scene of the wedding of Miss Graeme Crowe, the elder daughter of Mr and Mrs S. H. Crowe, of Takapuna, and Mr Samuel Young, the elder son of Mr V. Young and the late Mrs Young, of Paeroa.
The bride’s gown of ivory cloque made with fitting bodice and train had the high round neckline, train and long full sleeves encrusted with seed pearls. Her veil of uncut tulle was held with sprays of lily of the valley, and the bride carried a bouquet of white roses and lily of the valley. Two bridesmaids, Rosemary Crowe and Margaret Young, were dressed alike in gowns of limpet blue cloque, made on off-the-shoulder lines, with fitting bodices and full skirts. Their headdresses were made of a band of the material folded across their heads and fixed with a posy of flowers at each side. The best man was Mr Outram Young, and the groomsman Mr Richard Crowe. .
