HEAVY TRAFFIC POOL

BODIES WANT TO WITHDRAW COUNCIL OPPOSES .REQUEST Notification that they wished to withdraw from the heavy traffic pool was made by the Matamata county and borough council and the Putaruru Town Board to the October meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council. They also asked for the council’s approval of their intentions. The chairman, Mr T. A. Barrett, stated that he thought it would be unwise for the council to approve of the request. It would mean the splitting up of the whole of the pool, he said.

The meeting decided to oppose any ■withdrawal from the pool.
