ROLLS PREPARED
ELECTIONS ON THE PLAINS REPORT BY COUNTY CLERK Electoral rolls for each riding in the Hauiaki Plains County have been prepared and the total number of persons on the rolls to date is 1731, stated the county clerk, Mr A. E. Mahoney, to the August meeting of the council. The report added:— “ The rolls were advertised and deposited in the respective ridings for inspection - and objection. “ The number of' European electors-:* appearing on the rolls' are sfiowH hereunder, but I expect that this number will be greatly increased before the rolls finally close in October:— Turua riding 208 Kopuarahi Riding HO Horahia riding 126 Kerepeehi riding 206 -Netherton riding 189 Patetonga riding- 172 Ngatea riding 296 ■ Pipiroa riding 147 Waitakaruru riding 277 ' . Total 1'731 “ Application forms for enrolment of residential electors have been placed with the rolls themselves, with instructions for completing them,” concluded the report.
