TO BE IMPROVED
LONG BAY HOLIDAY RESORT GRANT OF £350 FOR THE WORK Advice that a grant of £350 was available for improvements at Long Bay was received from the Lands and Survey Department at the November meeting of the Coromandel County Council. The chairman, Mr E. E. Deeble, stated that the grant was the outcome of the visit to Wellington and that the first calls on the money would be for a water supply, conveniences and a fire belt. It was essential that the scheme as suggested in Mr Murray’s report be gone on with so that it would be ready for the Christmas holidays.
