Mr N. R. Robson, formerly of Paeroa, but latterly of Sydney, Australia, is visiting Paeroa renewing old acquaintances. Mr C. Christie, inspector of stock at Thames, left for Pukekohe to take up his new duties there on Mbnday Mr W. P. L. Dale, inspector of stock, at Paeroa, will relieve at Thames for emergency cases until Mr W. Stringer arrives, early in December. Mr J. F. L. Carmine, formerly stationmaster at Paeroa, and latterly at New Plymouth, is to retire from the Railways Department this month after 39 years’ service. Mr Carmine intends to remain in New Plymouth.
