OBITUARY
MRS EMMA JAMES DEATH AT '5B YEARS The death occurred on October 24 at the Thames Hospital of Mrs Emma L. James of Coromandel at the age of 59 years. Mrs James was born in Coromandel and had lived there all her life. She attended the Coromandel school and also the Methodist Sunday school. Later she joined the choir and was a ■Sunday school teacher. Hex - association throughout her life with the work of the Methodist Church will be long remembered by everyone who came m contact with her. In 1928 she married Mr Samuel James, who pre-deceased her some years ago. She was the third daughter of Mrs Mary Ellen and the late Mr James Davies, a well-known Coromandel family. A service was held in the Methodist Church at Coromandel before the funeral at Buffalo cemetery, the Rev. O. Christian conducting the service there and at the graveside. A very large number of Coromandel residents were present to pay their last respects.
